People Who Care Award nominations sought

Nominations are now open for the 2002 People Who Care Awards which recognize individuals and organizations that have demonstrated outstanding initiative and dedication towards enhancing the lives of people with disabilities throughout San Mateo County.

The awards, sponsored by the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors and the Commission on Disabilities, are open to all residents of the county. The award categories include Individual Volunteer, Individual Professional, Individual Educator, Agency/Program and Business.

Nomination forms can be obtained by calling the Commission on Disabilities at (650) 573-2580 (voice) or (650) 573-2220 (TDD) or by visiting the Commission website at www.smco-cod.org. Deadline for returning nominations is Aug. 15.

The awards will be presented at the People Who Care Awards Dinner on Friday, Oct. 25 at the South San Francisco Conference Center.
